"It's not fair, really." Toph said. She exhaled softly. "Why do I have to do this?"
"You'll disappoint a lot of people if you don't. Including myself." Katara patted her shoulder lightly.
"Ugh, I know. I just feel like there's this weight on me to be perfect. Like I'm doing this for other people. That's not my style, you know? I should be doing this for me." Toph clenched her fists, angry.
"Well, you're doing it for Sokka, too." Katara added. Toph sighed exasperatedly.
"I know, I know." Toph groaned.
"Just think of it as your duty. For one day, you have to abide by traditions and people's expectations. Then, you're off duty for an entire week on Ember Island." Katara smiled. Toph laughed softly.
"Alright, I guess. Do you like this one, then? It's not like I can see how it looks." Toph ran her hands down the silky fabric of the dress.
"I think it's perfect. Sokka will love it." Katara grinned.
"It's ridiculous, really. The whole wedding." Toph tried to adjust the dress and make it more comfortable.
"Yeah, yeah. Quit complaining." Katara chuckled. "C'mon, let's buy this one and get your measurements for the alterations. Then we can go look at shoes."
"NO. WAY." Toph snarled. "Duty or not, no one can make me wear shoes."
"Well, I was thinking we could take the bottoms out like you did –" Katara began.
"NO." Toph asserted. "Now get me out of this dress. I need to go bathe in the mud for a while." Toph stomped off into the dressing room. Katara rolled her eyes and followed behind.

Tokka Week- Bedtime
Bedtime was her favorite part of the day. It was the time when they could forget about work and just focus on each other for a little while. They lay in bed, talking softly between themselves. Sokka peered over at Toph, who was lying on her back with her hands supporting her head, a content little smile on her lips. She felt his eyes on her.
"What?" she asked.
"I never get tired of looking at you."
"Wish I could say the same."
Sokka chuckled softly and kissed her temple. He ran his fingers through her black hair and let his fingertips trace her jawbone. Toph leaned forward and connected their lips. Her hand traveled to the nape of his nec

30 Days of Makorra - Day 7 - Breakfast
Warning -- Character Death
Mako stepped into the kitchen, bleary-eyed and tired, rubbing a hand across his face as he tried to wake himself up. It was another long night, just like every night the past couple of weeks had been. He paused just over the threshold, staring in disbelief. Standing in front of the stove was Korra, pan and spatula in hand. She looked over her shoulder at him, for a moment, he could smell the breakfast cooking.
It was over as quick as it started, however. She vanished before his eyes, and he sat down right where he was. His heart and mind played cruel tricks on him, making him believe she was right there, when she

"Mom! Katara won't stop trying to Waterbend me!"
"Yeah, well, if you weren't tryin' to set my hair on fire I wouldn't have to!"
Korra sighed from where she was sitting, placing aside the baby on her lap to her shoulder so she could give both of her older daughters disapproving looks. "Both of you, stop! Can't you just practice forms peacefully, like your brother?" The Avatar pointed over at the window at her side that presented the picture of her only son standing on the patio, practicing his Waterbending forms without a care in the world, undisruptive unlike his sisters.
The two girls blinked at their mother and then
